Quite some people have faced this problem. The solution I’ve read on many sites seems to be :
1. Uninstall AVG (if installed). Reboot.
2. Uninstall VC++ Redistributable in Control Panel – Programs and Features (If 2 copies, uninstall both). Reboot.
3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package again from : Click Here
4. Reboot and check if you still get the error.
Follow the above steps and hopefully the error should be gone.
Error : Svchost.exe seems to be eating up unnecessary bandwidth and also consumes memory.
Solution : Disabling the BITS (Microsoft Background Intelligent Transfer Service) service should help.
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is a component of modern Microsoft Windows operating systems that facilitates prioritized, throttled, and asynchronous transfer of files between machines using idle network bandwidth.
To disable, Open Msconfig > Service and Disable from there.

Filenames or Foldernames are hidden in Thumnail view in Windows Vista when you press Shift+Ctrl and change the View Type.
Do the following :
Keep holding Shift + Ctrl and click on View and change views multiple times. You should get back your Foldernames.
Even if that didn’t work for you. Perform a Scan of the Drive wherein this anomaly occurs. To do that goto My Computer > Right Click on the Drive > Properties > Tools > Check now. Restart your System.
Windows 7 has finally been released for Consumers. As with every Windows there are 2 versions of Windows 7 namely 32Bit and 64Bit.
Most people are skeptical about switching over the the x64 version and I too am of the opinion that the market is just not ready for 64-Bit.
The most biggest advantage of x64 architecture was that it supported more than 4Gb of Physical Memory.
But now this limitation can be circumvented and a Patch is available which allows you to use more than 4Gb of RAM in the 32Bit version of Windows 7.
This Patch Supports the RTM build of Windows 7 – 7600 so it should support the Final version which is out now. It’s been created by a Russian Group which explains the Non-English language.
